What is it like to work with a Holistic Skin Health and Wellness Consultant?

Whether you come to me, a professional esthetician, for a facial or skin health and wellness coaching, you are coming to someone who will care for you and guide you on a journey to care for your skin with the best, all natural solutions possible while addressing any skin concerns at the root of the cause.

During the first session we will identify your skin type, your skin health concerns and set health and wellness goals.

From there we start to more towards achieving the goals we set forth. We will examine all that plays a roll in your current issues as well as how to achieve glowing, beautiful skin. From what you put on your body, the the environment around you, diet & supplements, stress, mindset and exercise, we will deep dive into what is and isn't working for your skin health. You will learn to slowly detoxify your life by introducing all natural, simple skincare rituals that improve our whole body health. In looking at the root cause and improving the bodies health on a cellular level you improve your skin health too!!! (Win Win!!!)


Who is skin health and wellness consulting for?

Anyone with skin, (aka- anyone!) But ideally because my focus is holistic, and all natural, it is for someone who cares about using all natural solutions or who wants to make the shift towards a more natural lifestyle but needs some guidance on the journey. Consulting is also for someone who either has a specific skin concern or wants to learn how to age gracefully and naturally. So it is for Men, Women, Teens who want to discover the power of natural solutions and whole health care.


I've let my skin go too long, don't I need intense intervention at this point?

No, you do not, especially if you do not want to. We can use gentle but effective products to brighten the skin, reduce hyperpigmentation, or even soften fine lines and wrinkles. These products, along with tools like gua sha, face yoga (a literal face workout that you feel the next day like a gym workout!!!), acupressure points and LED Light therapy to work muscles, improve skin and muscle tone, boost cellular function and health. There are many non-invasive techniques that will improve skin health and will minimize signs of aging.

We will dig into the lifestyle habits that contribute to signs of aging or even premature aging - such as smoking, excessive sun exposure/tanning, chemicals in the environment and much more. We examine what habits we have control to change and decide how to implement change.

But we also work on mindset. We must acknowledge aging is inevitable, it is part of the human experience. But we can learn to age with grace and compassion for ourselves and to see that those gentle lines around our eyes and mouth are a lifetime full of emotions- of laughter and joy, funny faces, frowns and all the other emotion, expressions and experiences we have lived. They are a record of our time in this world, and with a shift of mindset you might just learn to love them. (Loving them and attempting to soften the signs of aging can absolutely go hand in hand!)

As an esthetician, when clients come to my room for a facial, many of them can recite a long laundry list of issues and complaints about their skin, and they expect me to find more. And this list can make everything seem hopeless. Like there is too much to tackle, so why even bother.... But first off, I ask all my clients to acknowledge, they are beautiful!!! They may have an imperfection, but we can work on that, improve it and make it better...

Also when you are addressing skin concerns at the root of the cause or issue vs just topically, you reduce inflammation, calm, and soothe the skin and improve the skins cellular function. You also may look at whether diet, stress or something else is playing a roll. In addressing skincare by exploring our overall health and wellness, we often resolve more than one issue at a time. In addition, you gain a confidence in your personal knowledge and your connection with your whole self. You find you have the tools and the knowledge to care for yourself with natural solutions.

So Yes, I can address your concerns.... IT is never hopeless

My skin health and wellness coaching is so much more than skin deep. It examines our greater health from the inside out, looking at our physical and mental health as well as the external environment which plays a roll as well. So my coaching for anyone who wants to improve their overall health and wellness from the inside out with natural solutions in order to resolve a specific skin condition or to gain control and understanding of their skin, and whole body health and wellness. So it is not self centered or bougie, it is self empowering self care for your overall health and wellness.
